What is policy exclusion?
A policy exclusion describes a person, property, use, event, or type of loss the policy does not cover.

How it works
Exclusions narrow the coverage grant and can appear in the main form or an endorsement. They differ among policies.
Example
A policy excludes coverage while a vehicle is used for a particular commercial delivery activity. A loss during that use may not be covered.

A broad coverage name does not override the contract's exclusions and conditions.
